Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III and Warzone received a new update today on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. With Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 looming on the horizon in October, many CoD fans are starting to turn their attention towards the next installment in the series. Despite this, Activision is still steadily updating Modern Warfare III, with some key balance changes being made this time around.

Today's update for Modern Warfare III, which is now available to download, features a number of adjustments to weapons such as the STG44, RPK, COR-45, and EMP grenades. In addition, Activision has fixed a number of issues related to the UI, G3T, H1GH map, and COD Warrior game mode. Finally, a change has been made to Zombies, but only to address an issue in the MW3 game mode.

You can check out the full patch notes for this week's Modern Warfare III update below.

Weapons and Attachments:

STG44: Lower arm damage multiplier increased from 1.2x to 1.3x. Damage to the lower arm is now consistent regardless of which arm is hit.

RPK: Ammo gained from ammo boxes reduced from 60 to 15 (-75%).

COR-45: XRK IP-V2 conversion kit. Fixed an issue where the fire rate was faster than intended.

Maps:

G3T_H1GH: Fixed an issue where the mosquito drone could not target enemy players.

Modes:

Call of Duty: Warrior: Fixed an issue where players would instantly die in the "Respawn!" mini-game. "Respawn!" no longer occurs if there are fewer than 2 members on a team. Players who go down in the "Respawn!" mini-game will no longer receive a warning for inactivity.

Impact: These changes are intended to create a more balanced gameplay experience. The increase in damage for the STG44 makes it more competitive in close to medium-range engagements, while the reduction in ammo for the RPK limits its sustained firepower.

Looking Ahead: With Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 just around the corner, players can expect to see more updates and changes to Modern Warfare III in the coming months. Activision is committed to providing players with a great gaming experience.
