Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Free-For-All Bug Frustrates Players

Players of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 are reporting a persistent bug in the free-for-all mode that's robbing them of victories.  Despite reaching the required elimination count, a glitch prevents some players from winning, adding to the existing frustrations with the game.

While Black Ops 6 has seen commercial success, various issues have plagued the title since its October 25 launch.  This free-for-all bug adds to the list of problems, which also includes prevalent cheating in both Black Ops 6 and Warzone's ranked modes.  Treyarch Studios is working to combat cheating with anti-cheat updates, but player patience is wearing thin.

A Call of Duty fan recently compiled images showcasing the evolution of the iconic M16 rifle across the series, highlighting the weapon's various iterations.

The free-for-all bug has become a significant point of contention. Players report reaching the 30-elimination limit, only to be greeted with a "defeat" screen, adding an undeserved loss to their record. One Reddit user claims to have encountered this glitch over 200 times since the start of Season 1.

Other players echo these complaints, expressing frustration with the unresolved issue.  Some speculate that the bug might stem from the game incorrectly counting assists as eliminations, potentially leading to inaccurate win assignments.  The problem adds to a growing list of bugs, including a recent holiday event glitch that allowed players to instantly unlock rewards.

Treyarch quickly addressed the holiday event issue by granting all players the rewards, regardless of progress. However, the free-for-all bug remains a persistent problem, affecting the overall gameplay experience.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is a spy thriller set in the early 1990s, amidst the changing global landscape after the Cold War. Developed by Treyarch and Raven Software, the game features a complex narrative and intense gameplay.

The single-player campaign offers diverse environments and high-octane action sequences, including heists and espionage operations. Multiplayer includes 16 maps at launch – 12 core 6v6 maps and 4 Strike maps for 2v2 or 6v6 combat.  The popular Zombies mode also returns with two new maps at launch, and more content is planned for post-launch releases.
