Treyarch is kicking off 2025 with a bang, outlining exciting updates for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. Following a successful 2024, the popular FPS is set for more action-packed content, improvements, and community-requested features.

The upcoming January 3rd update promises a wealth of additions. Players can anticipate new modes for both Multiplayer and Zombies, a new High Roller Wildcard for Multiplayer, buffs to the Elemental Sword in Zombies, enhancements to Prop Hunt, bug fixes for the Citadelle des Morts Zombies map, updates to Zombies Calling Card challenges, and refined After-Action reports.

While details on the new modes remain scarce, speculation runs rampant.  Could this be the arrival of the highly anticipated Gun Game mode?  Alternatively, might Treyarch be preparing entirely new experiences or simply refreshing existing playlists?  Fans eagerly await the official patch notes for confirmation.

One player has highlighted a significant issue with a paid Weapon Blueprint, adding another layer of complexity to the upcoming update.

Alongside the content additions, Black Ops 6 continues its Double XP and Double Weapon XP event until the January 3rd update arrives, providing players with ample opportunity to level up before the new content drops.  Detailed patch notes are expected later this week, likely coinciding with the update's release.

Looking ahead, Black Ops 6 is expected to receive ongoing support until the next Call of Duty installment arrives, presumably in late 2025. This continuous stream of updates will likely include new content, playlist refreshes, community feedback implementation, and more.
