Will the Iconic Launch Map Return in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6?

Whispers within the Call of Duty community suggest the possible return of a fan-favorite map.  Launch, originally featured in Black Ops 1, may be making a comeback in Black Ops 6. This speculation stems from leaks and data mining efforts, pointing towards a codename, "Cosmodrome", potentially linked to the map.

The Call of Duty franchise has a rich history of revisiting classic maps, and the Black Ops series is no exception.  Nuketown stands as a prime example, having been reintroduced multiple times. Launch itself enjoyed a revival in Black Ops 4 with a futuristic makeover.  Could Black Ops 6 be the next iteration to feature this iconic location?

A recent leak from a Twitter user known as ForwardLeaksAlt lends further credence to these rumors. While the leaker has a mixed track record, their claim about Launch's return has ignited excitement.  The possibility exists that the map might appear in the rumored Call of Duty 2025 title as well.  However, given its history with the Black Ops series, a seasonal content drop in Black Ops 6 seems more likely.

Black Ops 6 has already demonstrated its willingness to revisit classic maps by reintroducing Hacienda from Black Ops 4 and the ever-popular Nuketown.  This precedent suggests that Launch could easily join the roster.  The timing of these rumors is particularly intriguing, coinciding with early discussions about Call of Duty 2025 and its potential setting.  While Treyarch is heavily involved in supporting Black Ops 6, the studio responsible for the 2025 installment remains unknown.
