Treyarch is spreading holiday cheer in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 with the festive Jingle Hells makeover for the Zombies map, Liberty Falls. This isn't just a sprinkle of holiday spirit; it's a full-blown winter wonderland, exceeding previous Call of Duty holiday celebrations.
Holiday-themed events are a tradition in many game franchises, and Call of Duty is no exception. From the wintery Crash map in Modern Warfare Remastered to the festive Shipment, and events in Modern Warfare 3, Vanguard, and Black Ops Cold War, players have experienced a variety of holiday-themed content. These festive twists on familiar maps offer a refreshing change of pace for veteran players. Black Ops 6 joins the tradition with CODMAS 2024, featuring Jingle Hells in Liberty Falls.
Players have voiced concerns regarding a recently released weapon blueprint in Black Ops 6, claiming its functionality is severely compromised despite its purchase price. This has led to widespread frustration within the community.
As detailed in the official Call of Duty blog, CODMAS 2024 introduces the limited-time Jingle Hells mode to the Zombies map, Liberty Falls. Mirroring the festive transformation of Nuketown, Liberty Falls is decked out with holiday décor, including wreaths, ribbons, snowmen, twinkling lights, Christmas trees, garlands, and a blanket of snow. Even the Zombies enemies have embraced the holiday spirit, sporting festive attire. A giant floating stocking dispenses power-up presents or spawns Vermin, zombies occasionally drop presents, and the Holiday Cheer Gobblegum is available at Gobblegum Machines. Players have until January 3rd to enjoy the CODMAS 2024 festivities.
Jingle Hells isn't the only way to celebrate the holidays in Black Ops 6. GobbleGum Mania and Merry Mayhem run until December 19th, followed by Archie's Festival Frenzy from December 19th to January 3rd. Two holiday bundles are available for purchase, including the Season's Bleedings bundle featuring two Weapon Blueprints, a Calling Card, an Emblem, an Emote, a Spray, and the Daddy Claus Operator Skin for Toro. Warzone players can also join the holiday fun with Holiday Rush, Ran-Snack, and Slay Ride Resurgence modes, alongside festive decorations similar to those in Black Ops 6's Nuketown and Liberty Falls.
CODMAS 2024 provides ample opportunities for players to enjoy the holiday spirit, even amidst busy schedules filled with family and friends. With Treyarch's ongoing commitment to updating Black Ops 6, this likely won't be the game's last festive season.
