Players of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 have collectively eliminated 50 billion enemies, achieving the ultimate goal of the Hit List event and unlocking the Sirin 9mm special weapon. The event, which started on November 21st and concluded on December 5th, offered both individual cosmetic items and community-based rewards.

Individual players could obtain rewards like calling cards, loading screens, emblems, and a melee weapon by racking up between 100 and 1,000 eliminations.  The community challenge, however, presented a significantly larger hurdle. The initial community reward, a new Buffer Weight Stock attachment, required a staggering 8 billion eliminations.

Despite initial skepticism about reaching the final 50 billion elimination target, the Black Ops 6 community successfully unlocked the Sirin 9mm just a day before the event concluded. This special weapon, often mistaken for an SMG, fits into the secondary weapon slot. Early player feedback suggests the Sirin 9mm might not significantly shift the current meta in Black Ops 6 or Warzone, unless future updates by Treyarch or Raven Software enhance its performance.

Controversy arose earlier in the event when Activision offered the Sirin 9mm in a paid bundle, allowing players to acquire and use the weapon before it was officially unlocked through the community challenge.  Many players felt this undermined the purpose of the Hit List event.

Simultaneously, the introduction of the BlackCell XP loyalty bonus has drawn criticism, with some fans labeling Activision's move as "disrespectful".

With the Hit List event now finished, the Sirin 9mm is available for all players to experience. Looking ahead, the Season 1 Reloaded update for Black Ops 6 and Warzone, launching on December 5th, introduces the Merry Mayhem event. Running until December 19th, Merry Mayhem will offer new opportunities for players to unlock perks, weapons, and more across Zombies, multiplayer, and Warzone modes.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, developed by Treyarch and Raven Software, plunges players into a world of espionage and intrigue set against the backdrop of the early 1990s. This era of shifting global politics, marked by the Cold War's end and the rise of the United States, provides a compelling narrative foundation for a signature Black Ops experience.

The campaign features dynamic gameplay with diverse environments, high-octane action sequences, thrilling heists, and covert spy operations.  Multiplayer offers 16 maps at launch, including 12 core 6v6 maps and 4 Strike maps for 2v2 or 6v6 combat.

The return of Round-Based Zombies mode is a highlight, with two new launch maps and the promise of more post-launch content for both multiplayer and Zombies. Players can expect an immersive and engaging experience across all game modes.
