The immense popularity of Call of Duty's weapon blueprints continues with Black Ops 6, allowing players to acquire pre-designed weapons adorned with distinctive camouflage. These blueprints are often obtainable through in-game purchases, Battle Passes, or campaign progression. They not only unlock the base weapon but also provide a unique aesthetic.
Black Ops 6 has achieved remarkable success for Activision and Treyarch, boasting the highest player count, playtime, and match numbers within its first 30 days compared to other Call of Duty titles. Despite this achievement, the game has faced criticism for various bugs and glitches, some impacting the functionality of weapon blueprints.
A recent discovery highlights a significant problem with the Salutations BlackCell blueprint for the Saug SMG. A Reddit user, QuantumRavage, shared a video demonstrating how removing the Saug's pre-equipped optic renders the weapon almost unusable due to flames from the camo design obstructing the iron sights.
This issue has sparked frustration, particularly among players who purchased the BlackCell Battle Pass specifically for this blueprint. QuantumRavage expressed their disappointment, stating, "No wonder why blueprints are broken, they don’t even attempt to use or test these. All you have to do is ADS and you can see the fundamental flaw with this design." However, other players have reported not experiencing the same issue, suggesting it might be an isolated bug.
This incident adds to the ongoing controversy surrounding Black Ops 6's cosmetic items. While the game's 90s setting led some to anticipate a more realistic approach to cosmetics, Activision has continued its trend of releasing extravagant items, such as flaming weapon blueprints and vibrant dragon skins. Although a segment of the community criticizes these designs, their continued presence suggests they remain popular.
